History

Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel was founded in 1910 by Winfield E. Pegg. The funeral home was originally located on the corner of Angel Road and Farmington Road in Beaverton, Oregon, before it was moved to its present location at 2nd and Watson in the mid-40s.

When Mr. Pegg passed away in 1950, his daughter, Hazel Paxson, began operating the funeral home. Several years later, her son, Elwin Paxson, became involved in the family business. In the 60s, Elwin served as the state representative for the Beaverton area. In the latter part of the 60s, Jim Springer became the owner of the funeral home, and the name of the business was changed to Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel.

Today, Pegg, Paxson and Springer Funeral Chapel is honored to be a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. When you choose a Dignity Memorial provider, you not only receive the compassionate care you expect from a locally operated establishment, but also the value you deserve from the largest and most trusted network of funeral, cremation and memorialization services.
